Steveston Salmon Festival

  

1. The orgin
It’s made to celebrate Canada’s birth day and the rich heritage of our community in 1945. The people in Steveston have come every year to celebrate them.

2. When
It will be held on Sunday, July 1st.
The main ceremony will open from noon, but we can see many kind of parades from 6:30am.
The biggest Canada Day Parade will start at 10am.

3. Where
It will be held in Steveston, Richmond, BC, Canada.
- Parking by donation is available at Homma Elementary School, 5100 Brunswick Drive.
- Free parking and riding shuttle buses are available at the old Steveston Secondary site, 10440 No. 2 Road and the City Works Yard, 5599 Lynas Lane.
- Parking for $5 is available on the north field of Steveston Park at the south end of Fentiman Place.

4. What
You can see many kind of attractions.
-Japanese Cultural Show
-Craft Fair
-Martial Arts Demonstrations
-Youth Rock Fest

You also see many kind of parades.
-floats
-marching bands
-celebrities
-politicians
-community groups
-vintage vehicle

You can eat salmon!!
Over 1200 pounds of wild salmon will be pan-grilled.
-$15 per plate, cash only.
