He was born in 1948 , His father died when he was 6 years old so he lived in an orphanage 
He wanted to be a sailor so he studied about that but when he graduated from the college he was thinking to be a musician because he loves music  
In 1963 he was going to Italy in a scholarship to continued his studying but he changed his mind and went to Roma then to Beirut to be a singer in 60th he became the most famous singer in Saudi Arabia after that he worked as a composer 
In 70th he was the most important singer in the Persian Gulf ( the countries around Saudi Arabia ) 
In 80th they called him the Arab singer And the most popular song for him is Al amaken it means the places
