Would you like to work on the ISS? Why or why not?

I don’t like to work in the ISS. It sounds very amazing. But I’m afraid of heights. And also I need work alone in a small space. Everyday I need to fight with gravity. It will make me fell lonely and gloomy. Actually I want to try , it’s also a special experience for me. Just spend a few days to use this opportunity, not all of life

Would you like to work on the ISS? Why or why not?

If I can go and work in the ISS, it will be great opportunity. But there’s a lot of demerits. I can’t see my family or friends. Actually I can contact with my family or friends by computer but I think it’s different. And there’s the only one people, me. It makes me feel really lonely. We have to learn lots of things to live at the ISS which needed really hard training and long time. First of all, it could be dangerous. So I don’t like to work at the ISS.

Work in a Space Station - Diego Dolphini

Some kinds of experiences could change your way to see life forever. Work in a space station must be one of those things. We read about the ISS and we saw all the difficulties and problems that it brings to the people who go there. But for a short period of time (like the two weeks program) those obstacles become a easy way to get a incredible time. Orbiting around the Earth, do a space walk and see the sun and the darkness of the Universe 16 times for day should make you grow inside. I don’t care if I will lose some bone mass or if the food is awful, feeling sick for a couple days or don’t take showers. If I had the opportunity I would love to be there.

Would you like to work on the ISS? Why or why not?

I'd like to work on the ISS because it is invaluable experience for me.
Everyone can't work there. Only the chosen people can work there.
I'd like to experience zero gravity and try to everything.
And then I'd like to see the Earth from space.

homework---Luhui

I think it is especially of experience,if someone who work on ISS.First of all ,you are leave the Earth's surface, you can observe a real earth, then you can defy the laws of gravity , fly in the sky. That's very interesting and pride in your jobs are justified,so that's why they call you astronaut.

I would like to work on the ISS

I would like to work at ISS only a few weeks. It´s a different experience. I would learn all the things that astronauts do. I would see the earth from space. I want to live something really different that all I know. I would like float in the space.

Homework - Beatriz Rodrigues

Would you like to work on the ISS? Why or why not?

I think it's not a good idea, because sometimes you have to spend too much time away from your family. You don't have a lot of hygiene, the food isn't good. And it's not comfortable, which should make the trip very tiring.

14th Annual Bright Nights in Stanley Park

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

At least half the tickets for each day's train rides will be set aside and only available for purchase on-site from 12:00 noon onwards on that same day. This means that even if Ticketmaster is sold out for the day, there will still be lots of tickets for sale on-site.

This event is very popular and train tickets sell out early on busy evenings. To avoid crowds, consider coming on Monday-Thursday during the first two weeks. The BC Professional Fire Fighters' Burn Fund displays are open at all times during the event.

For public safety reasons, Stanley Park may occasionally be closed due to inclement weather conditions such as high winds. We will do our utmost to notify the public if a closure happens by contacting local media with an advisory and updating messages on the Bright Nights Info line at 604-257-8531.
